Printer Guide| Creality Dual Extruder 3D Printer CR-X : More Color , More Creality

Creality CR-10 has created a huge craze since 2017. In 2018, the company has actually doubled down with the new Creality CR-X, a similarly styled 3D printer with double extrusion function. Boasting a brand-new print head that guides two filament feeds to a single nozzle, the CR-X is the initial dual extruder 3D printer for Creality.

Advantages of Creality CR-X 3D Printer
The Creality CR-X is also a multi-material 3d printer utilizes fused deposition modeling (FDM), in which, it can print with all types of 3d printing materials, included Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), Polylactic Acid (PLA), TPU and PETG,  especially PVA( Polyvinyl acetate, which is a kind of water-soluble consumables, help easier to remove after soaking in water, giving you a more detailed model surface).

It can be melted and also deposited via a heated extrusion nozzle in layers, which makes the printer capable of printing clean breaks between the materials. Atop the CR-X, there are two spool holders that will be fed into 2 extruders positioning on both ends of the X-axis rail. 2 filaments pass through PTFE tubes right into a Y-splitter feeding into the printer's hot end before extrusion via a single 0.4 mm nozzle.

The Creality CR-X has a print area of 300 x 300 x 400mm, comparable to that of the CR-10. Additionally, the printer is outfitted with a coated glass bed, which can allow the hotbed temperature to reach up to 100 ℃. In this way, prints adhere much better and can be removed in a much easier way, resulting in the flat first layer as well.

The print bed's travel along the Y-axis is well supported, with the tons spread as well as running over twin 2020 extrusions on eight wheels. The single ribbon cable connects the base unit to the X-axis stepper, twin extruders, as well as hotend, maintaining points neat and also tidy when the machine is in operation. The Z-axis motion is handled by a belt-driven twin lead screw getup. A single stepper motor supplies the power straight to the left lead screw, with a toothed pulley and also belt system, in turn, driving a 2nd lead screw on the right-hand side of the printer, making certain the printing stability.

In order to provide much better user interaction, the CR-X dual extruder 3D printer is having a 4-inch color LCD touchscreen, which is put in the front and fixate the base system.

Other eye-catching points should also be mentioned. The Creality CR-X uses an all-metal extruder, which provides better strength, a longer service life, and smoother printing experience. Besides, the CR-X adopts a single wire design, which means you only need one wire to connect the base and the gantry to start printing. Plus, the leveling nuts are larger that provides an ergonomic design and are easy to adjust, and the bottom side block has solid 8 pulleys, providing a smooth operation during printing.
